Blue Yeti Blackout Now Being Reconised by Windows
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.
As I see from the Windows compatibility center it is compatible then it should work with no issues.
http://www.microsoft.com/en-in/windows/compatibility/CompatCenter/ProductDetailsViewer?Name=Blue%20Microphones%20Yeti%20Microphone&vendor=Blue%20Microphones&Locale=1033%2C2057%2C3081%2C4105%2C16393&BreadCrumbPath=Yeti%20Microphone%20&LastSearchTerm=Yeti%2BMicrophone%2B&Type=Hardware&tempOsid=Windows%2010
Follow the methods below and check if it helps:
Method 1: If your computer is having problems playing sound, try using the Playing Audio troubleshooter to fix the problem. It checks for common problems with your volume settings, your sound card or driver, and your speakers or headphones.
Open Control Panel . In the search box, type troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting . Under Hardware and Sound , click Troubleshoot audio playback . If you're prompted for an
administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Method 2: You need to make sure that the microphone is not disabled.
a. Right click on the volume icon and select Recording devices .
b. Now, Right Click on an empty space and select, Show disconnected devices and Show disabled
devices .
c. Make sure that the Microphone is not disabled.
Method 3: Please uninstall the drivers which you have installed before you go ahead with this method. As per the model number, find the link below for the audio drivers, which as you can see is compatible with Windows 7 32/64 bit.
Please download the drivers and install them in compatibility.
Once the download is complete follow these steps to install the driver in compatibility mode and check.
a. Download the driver from the manufacturer's website.
b. Right-click on the driver setup file and click on properties .
c. Click on the compatibility tab and check the box Run this program in compatibility mode for
and select Windows 7 operating system from the drop down menu.
d. Click on Apply and click OK and run the file to install it.

I have no program to install from blue mics to make it work
Method 1: cannot be applied since my pc has audio correctly, that's not the issue
Method 2: the device is not recognized, so it is not even shown as disabled
Method 3: since there is no program drivers have nothing to use the compatibility troubleshooter
here is how the yeti looks in my device manager after plugin in

Trying to install the actual driver for this fails every time and Windows 10 gives me a message that there is something wrong with the device.

Anyone having problems with Blue Yeti usb microphone, I can confirm that I switched my usb port from 3.0 to 2.0 and now it works. Before it was flashing on and off, and sometimes would work for a moment but then would crash skype and things like my actual sound. I remembered it working fine in previous builds of Windows 10 ( as I was an insider and used skype frequently, I had no issues until recently ). I thought it was strange that the microphone was coming on and off and wouldn't work after working so well in the recent past. If it's not a cable issue, or if you happen to not have a cable double check the usb ports and make sure it is in a 2.0 slot.

The non Pro Blue Yeti should be plug and play. I made a video explaining issues I had with mine in Windows 10 with some fixes. Maybe it will help someone:

What fixed the issue for me, is the cord. The cord was bad and it worked for for like a minute and then go to error 43 device descriptor request failed or something along that line
